Website information

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 September 2026

Infrastructure Bank Tanzania (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website or contact us about infrastructure projects, advisory services, or investment opportunities.

1. Who We Are

Infrastructure Bank Tanzania is a financial advisory company registered in Tanzania. We connect infrastructure project sponsors with potential local and international investors and financiers. We do not provide deposit accounts or retail banking services.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use our website and contact us, we may collect:

  • Your name, organisation, role, email address, telephone number, and other details you provide in an enquiry.
  • Information about a project, investment interest, or financing proposal that you choose to submit.
  • Documents you send us to support an enquiry or an advisory engagement.
  • Technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, where collected by our website systems.

Identity and tax verification: The current verification page links to the official NIDA and TRA portals. Enter any NIDA number or Tax Identification Number (TIN) only on the relevant authority’s portal; this website does not receive, store, or verify those numbers. If a verification feature is made available here in the future, we will explain the information required and how it will be checked before you submit it. Do not include these numbers in a general enquiry unless we specifically request them through an appropriate process.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, review project proposals, communicate with potential clients and partners, administer advisory relationships, verify information where appropriate, protect the website, and meet applicable legal obligations.

We may also use website usage information to understand how visitors use the site and improve its content and performance.

4. Sharing Information

We may share information with our authorised staff and service providers who help operate the website or support our services. Where relevant to an enquiry, we may share project information with a potential investor, financier, adviser, or verification provider after considering the purpose of the disclosure and any applicable confidentiality arrangements.

We may disclose information where required by law. We do not publish personal documents or share a project proposal with potential funding partners merely because it was submitted through the website.

5. International Transfers

Some potential investors, financiers, service providers, or systems may be located outside Tanzania. Where a transfer of personal information outside Tanzania is proposed, we will assess the applicable requirements and use appropriate safeguards before making that transfer.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, an ongoing advisory relationship, record-keeping obligations, or the handling of a dispute. Retention periods may differ by type of information. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable requirements.

7. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. If you plan to email sensitive documents, contact us to discuss an appropriate submission method if you need additional protection.

8. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use essential cookies needed for its operation. The language selector loads Google Translate only when you choose another language; that service may use its own cookies and process information according to its privacy terms. Returning to English clears translation cookies set for this website. We do not currently run a separate website analytics service. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and provide any required controls.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, request its deletion or restricted use, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also raise a concern about how your information is handled.

To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also submit a complaint to Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Commission.

10. Third-Party Websites

Our website may link to government portals, project partners, or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Please review those notices before submitting information to them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, or information practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
